Innovative Practices followed in the State :

Use of fresh and locally available organic vegetables

Sikkim, being an organic state, every School going child is served with fresh and locally available organic vegetables like potatoes, black dal, cabbage, green saag, cauliflower, Brocauli, radish, carrot, beans, peas in Mid-Day Meals from where adequate nutrients and proteins are expected for the children. This would enable to realize the dreams and expectations of the GOI through implementing the Scheme of MDM.

Social Harmony

Children of every community caste, creed, gender, sit together and enjoy MDM, there is no distinction of any Caste/class/ creed.
