Testing of food

Four Samples of cooked meal per month are collected by M/s FICCI Research and Analysis Centre of each NGO/Service Provider for testing the food for its hygiene and nutritive values from the schools and the kitchens from Accredited Laboratory. One sample of raw food grain is also collected at the time of lifting of food grain for testing.

Provided Milk

Directorate of Education in co-ordination with National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) and Dairy Co-operatives, has started to provide free milk to the children to supplement their nutritional needs on each school day in following 5 schools under “Gift Milk” programme through Mother Dairy (the wholly owned subsidiary of NDDB.
